Emulsion is a color puzzle. You start in the top-left corner of a board of colored squares. Tap a color, and your area becomes that color. Every square touching your area that is the same color joins it. Keep going until the whole board is one color, and do it in the moves you are given.
The fewest moves is written at the top
Every board is solved before you see it. The shortest way to finish it has been worked out, and that number is on the screen from your first move. The moves you are given are always enough, so every board can be finished. On the hardest setting you get exactly the shortest number and nothing more.
Run out of moves, and the app will show you how. It plays the shortest solution back on the same board, so you can see the move you missed.
Features
- Four difficulties, all open from the first launch. Easy is a 10×10 board with 5 colors and 5 extra moves. Medium, Hard and Perfect are 12×12 with 6 colors and 3, 1 and 0 extra moves.
- Six paints, each with its own pattern as well as its color, and each with a name and a number on its chip. You can play the whole game in greyscale.
- Undo. Choose how many you get per board, from one to unlimited. A board finished with no undo at all is what sets a personal best.
- Your scores, kept per difficulty on this phone: boards solved, boards solved in the fewest moves, and how close your best finish came. Save them to a file you keep, and load them on another phone.
- Four backgrounds to play on: Studio, Plaster, Pine and Stone.
- A short tutorial on the first launch, and again from Settings whenever you want it.
- Works offline, on a plane, in a tunnel. Everything it remembers stays on the phone.
- Nine languages, picked in Settings.
- One payment removes the ads for good.
