Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Folio ("the app") is an offline Android game, published by The Basement Coders. This policy explains what the app does with data.

Summary

What the app saves on your device

All of this is kept on the phone only:

You can erase all of it at any time from Settings → Clear progress, by clearing the app's storage, or by uninstalling the app. System backup is turned off for this app, so none of it is copied to a cloud account either.

The progress file

Settings → Progress file writes your progress to a file you choose, through the phone's own file picker, and loads one back. The file goes where you put it and is yours; the app never uploads it and never reads a file you have not picked.

Sharing a page

The share button draws a picture of the run you have just finished, saves it inside the app's own storage, and hands that one picture to whichever app you choose from the phone's share sheet. What happens to it after that is up to the app you picked. Nothing is sent by Folio itself.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, the app asks the phone for permission to post notifications and shows one reminder a day, at the time you set, while a quest is waiting. The reminder is written and shown by the phone. It is off until you switch it on, and switching it off stops it.

Children's privacy

Folio does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
